Finally....

I know I know it's been longer than I said it would be for me to get back on here. I don't know what my problem is. I think about things that I want to post, take all the pictures and then NOTHING!!! LOL

I have so much to show you; I don't even know where to begin. I think I'll start with showing you some of the crafting I've been doing. So sit back and get comfy because this is going to be one LONG blog with lots and lots of pictures....HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Here is the chalk board that I told you I would be making. LOVE IT!!!!!! I was so happy the way it turned out. I couldn't believe that I made this...lol

Then I bought these great..... I don't know what they are called...wall thingies...lol... from goodwill.org. Goodwill.org is great, it's a little like Ebay, you bid on things that you want to buy. Anyways, I bought these and LOVE THEM! Then I bought the plates and candles. I think that the plate might be alittle to high, but...

Then I had bought this CAFE sign it was originally white; I bought it from TJMax. I think it was under $5, LOVE IT!!!! I have it hanging over my pantry door. It's a little close to the ceiling I know, but Bryan tried so hard in getting the shelf centered and just perfect, I didn't have the heart to tell him that I actually wanted to lower.

Then I started decorating for Spring/Easter. I had seen these adorable bunnies, that look like they are chocolate. They were showing up all over blogland. I HAD TO HAVE ONE! LOL So off to TJMax I went...and lookie what I found, I almost let my squeal out when I saw it...lol
Can you say LOVE IT!!!! YES I DO!!!!

Then I found this cute Spring sign at Home Goods...LOVE that store too!!!!


I put some eggs and Easter grass in this little glass thingy (GAWD I don't know the names of everything how sad is that!?!?! LMAO)

And in the middle of all this crafting and decorating, we have a beautiful amazing daughter who just turned 14! Where in the world did the time go? Amanda is such a wonderful daughter! She is so caring, loving, funny, just an all around GREAT girl! So Bryan and I took her and some friends (well we physically took them but Nana paid for them....thanks mom) to Knott's Berry Farm.

We had a great time!

Then it had been awhile since I had gone to the Goodwill so off to the Goodwill I went. We had a day off on Friday for Easter. I walked into the the store and......OMGoodness I felt like I hit the mother load of good things! I was so excited, I usually never get that lucky when I go to Goodwill. Here's all my loot that I got....all this for less than $25 dollars

As soon as I saw this rabbit I grabbed it. I fell in love with it. I have seen so many blogs that have bunnies out there in blogland, I was so excited...

I put Mr. Bunny right into my Easter decoration...Mr. Bunny is all snuggled up in the eggs!

Then I saw these plates, I have never been a real big fan of Rosters, but they started growing on me. I saw the plates and thought of Bryan because he isn't real fond of them either. He said that when he was growing up his mom had them all over here house...lol. I would pick them up, walk around a little bit, but them down, walk away from them, went back, they would still be there so I thought they must want to come home with me, how could I ever let them down??? LOL I knew Bryan was an animal lover so I knew they would grow on him...lol I put them up over my sliding glass door to my back yard. LOVE THEM!!!!!!! I love the checker border on them. I found some ribbon and put some ribbon on this canister that I already had.

Then I found this urn, still not sure what I am going to do with it but for .99 cents I had to have it! LOL

I found this great platter that I am going to spray paint and make look real cute too, and this canister. I'm going to spray paint it white and hang it on our front door with some flowers in it. Can't wait!
And this basket...a little white paint, and a fake plant....I can see it already

Well there you have it. This is what I have been up to for the last few weeks. Next weekend our boys and girls club is having a HUGE rummage sale. I of course MUST support this since Jacob goes there! LOL I can't WAIT! I'm so excited.

I'm STILL ALIVE I PROMISE!!!!

Hey everyone,

I'm still alive and kicking, sorry for going SO long without posting anything. We have been so busy and so sick that I kind of put blogging on the back burner! :(

It started a few weeks ago with the Codeman getting sick EARLY Monday morning, then Tuesday Bryan and I got, then Thursday morning Jacob got it, then Friday morning my poor dad got it, then Saturday my mom, then Sunday I went for round two with it (the second time around was WORSE then the first). The only one who didn't get it was Amanda. But I think we are FINALLY ALL better!

I've been doing a few projects, I still need to take pictures and post those, boy have I gotten bad with all this blogging stuff haven't I? LOL I can't believe that I am going to put this online with NO pictures!!!! I promise I'll take some pictures this weekend and get them on here. I just wanted to write a quick note and let you all know I'm still alive, still doing crafts, just haven't been real good about publishing them! I'll get back to y'all this weekend with the pictures!! I hope you all have been doing well, and keeping busy!

It's been awhile....sorry!

Phew, I knows it been awhile since I wrote last, sorry! We've been busy the last few weeks. Bryan's mom and step dad have been out visiting from COLD Indiana. Last weekend we went and saw them, I'll post pictures as soon as we get them....O I'm still waiting!!! :) This weekend we went back over to Bryan's uncle's house and had a great time. I didn't get a lot of family pictures, but I did get these of Amanda and Jacob with Bryan's uncles Chihuahuas. Amanda is IN love with Chihuahuas, I don't know why, but if that's what she likes....lol. Well she was SO excited when she found out that we were going over to Bryan's uncle's house. The dog she has in her arms LOVED her! This is how Amanda spent the whole time we were there! LOL Amanda was in seventh heaven! Amanda had to use the restroom and asked me to hold her. This little dog was NOT very happy that Amanda put her in my arms. She started growling at me, and snapping at me. It's amazing how even when dogs are this small, when they start to growl and snap at you, they seem big and it scared the you know what out of me! LOL The male dog took a liking to Jacob. He was SO excited, because the dog would let him hold and play with him. We had a great time visiting with them. Oh and with Bryan's family too...lol

Then after we left Bryan's uncle Gordon's house, we went and picked up Jacob's friend Matt to spend the night. They had a great time playing the Wii. Amanda and I got to sneak out for a bit and go shopping.

This morning we were excited because it wasn't raining and we promised the kids that if it didn't rain we would go to Knott's Berry Farm. Jacob COMPLETELY surprised us this time, he wanted to go on a lot of the big rides. As long as Matt was going on them he wanted to go...lol. This was Jacob's first time on Montezooma's revenge, Matt didn't go with him on this ride and Jacob was freaking out! LOL But he ended up loving it.

This is what Cody and I do while everyone is on the rides...go looking at all the funny hats and taking pictures of ourselves! LOL Cody actually went on a few of the big rides too! I couldn't believe that my baby was tall enough to get on most of them! :(

This was Bryan's first time to Knott's in YEARS! So he was excited to see how much it had grown, and to go on all the rides. Him and Amanda had a great time going on just about every ride. Thank goodness for Bryan since I don't like most of those scary rides! LOL

Jacob and Matt on the Side Winder, I wish you could have seen the video on this that is taken while the ride was going, Jacob was so funny and cracking us up! We should have bought it!!!Bryan and Amanda on Boomerang...no thank you!!!! LOLCody finally got to go on a few that he wanted to go on...lol

Cody LOVED the bummer cars! He loved that he was able to drive them and bump into everyone! LOL

We had a great weekend, now I am exhausted and ready to go to bed!! Hope you all a wonderful weekend as well. I have a few projects that I am working on. I will make sure to take pictures and post them soon!!

Trip To The Snow!

I know it's been awhile since I have written, sorry, we have been battling that awful cold/flu in our house. Bryan had it a few weeks ago, and last Friday I felt like I was coming down with it, so I have been going to bed early when I can.

We went for a trip to Crestline. A friend of mine has a cabin up there, it is so adorable, and such an easy drive (this coming from someone who always has gotten car sick her whole life while going up to Big Bear). If you ever want to rent it, get in touch with me and I will give you her phone number. Anyhoo, we had such a great time. When we got there, there was still a lot of snow. So we had (and when I say we, you know I mean Bryan and the kids)...lol....some snow to shovel so we could walk up to the door.
The kids had such a great time shoveling and playing in the snow. It was so nice because we didn't really have to go anywhere for the kids to sled, they could sled right next to the house. it was just PERFECT!

While we were there, these two beautiful Golden retrievers came and wanted to play. They were the best dogs! I guess they live up there and their owners just let them out during the day and let them roam around. The kids fell in love with them. If the kids would sled down the hills, the dogs would run beside them, and when the kids would stop and if they would lay down, the dogs would go over and lick them and sit next to them. I mean seriously, they were the best dogs EVER. Bryan wanted to take them home with us! LOL We all did, they were such GREAT dogs!


Lake Gregory is just down aways from the Cabin, so we went down there and walked around. It was COLD!!!!!! The wind was whipping like crazy, but it was just so beautiful and peaceful there!

We can't wait to go back up there again. We all had such a great time, thanks Laurie for letting us stay at your cabin!!! We had an absolutely awesome time!!!!

TADA!!!! I did IT!!!

OK so remember yesterday I showed you pictures of the great chair I bought...let me refresh your memory....lol....
So today I sanded it......

Then primed....Then Painted

Lookin good so far isn't it...nope not going to give you a complete close up because there may be 1 or 2 drip marks...lol

While I was waiting for the paint to dry, I went inside and recovered the cushion (Bryan helped me with this, trying to get ALL those staples out of the cushion almost killed me! LOL It had been recovered 2 times), for my first time at recovering something I'm pretty proud of myself. Right before I started, Nicole called, THANK GOODNESS she did, she gave me a very helpful hint, when it came it to the corners, wrap it like you're wrapping a gift. I tried my best Nicole! LOL

The left side could use a little help...lol, but for my first time, OMG I was so happy with myself!!!

Then came the complete package....are you ready????? Drumroll please......

OMG do you just love it??? I do! I am so excited about it! But not only that, I was just crafty Kim today...lol....I have been seeing on blogs about taking old frames and turning them into chalk boards. So I decided I'm on such a roll let me try that...lol. Here is the before...

I don't have the completed project on this one yet. I need to go tomorrow and get some wood, and hopefully tomorrow night after I come home from work I will be able to finish it! But wait, that's not all....lol...I made this cute family picture frame...

Phew I'm exhausted...lol...all that in one day! But I am LOVING what I have done so far!!!!! I have been working on redo my dinning area, our computer hutch is in there so today while I was out and about, I bought this GREAT hat box....(Courtesy of my brother and his family, they gave me a gift card to Joann's for Christmas...THANKS GUYS!!!

It needs some flowers to go into the pot, and maybe a little something else, but it's getting there.

For Christmas Bryan's mom bought me this cute fruit bowl...thanks O!!
